This is a VERY original and
rare Fiat Cabrio. With only 91,000 miles, it has had only two owners since new.
The car was originally purchased on February 12, 1964 by a Mrs. Rita Carroll in
Barcelona, Spain. Three years later it went back to Italy for the Mille Miglia
In 1992 it was purchased by Stephan Protzen and was driven sparingly by this US
owner and lovingly cared for throughout his ownership. The car includes the
Original Bill of Sale and a significant amount of original records and
documentation. A complete, unmolested and running car with a newer interior,
this car is a wonderful piece of Italian sports car history that is very hard
to find anywhere.
Condition:
Very
good original condition. Never crashed, it has its original engine, body,
gearbox and wheels. Body paint has developed a very nice patina from its
original red color and has some small chips and minor scuffing. Otherwise, the body is very straight and there
is no apparent rust anywhere. Interior appears to be newer and the door seals, glass
and soft top are all in good condition. The engine runs well and the car drives
very nicely. Car comes complete with a hard-to-find factory hard top in good
condition, with some smaller paint chips. This car is an excellent candidate as
a great driver or preservation car.
